This is Rick’s latest birdhouse.
Wood: scrap wood including some cedar and some old barn boards

To paint or not to paint: I voted for no paint. The base and steeple were painted to help preserve the wood.

Nice looking bird “church”. Now you have church, cabin, outhouse- need a lumber store and grocery store! :^)

Do you build the houses to attract any particular species of birds or just hope for the best?

I agree, Lew—we need to have the entire village here!

We just “hope for the best”. All birds are fun to watch.

Are these hangers for all the fairies flying in? Thanks for sharing.

I was looking at the clothesline pole that the birdhouses are sitting on—it’s starting to have a “Cat in the Hat” look to it!
