I was getting blanks out of the kiln and this one was on top so in it came. The shape came mainly from trying to turn checks out but when I saw how it was shaping up I kept going to enhance the design. I liked what I had but it needed something so I burned a couple of lines just to break up the flow and draw the eye to the center.

Finish is clear stain

Very nice.
A lot of my turnings get their shape from flaw, checks, and grain patterns that develop as I start turning.
