I made this bird house for my grandmother. She really enjoys watching the various birds that hang around her yard. I applied 1 coat of teak oil and followed with 3 coats of poly. I sanded with 1000 grit and applied 3 more coats of poly. Thanks for looking!

Looks like you took this design to a different level, a few levels. Nice job on the build and great piece of cedar. I’m sure you used exterior poly.

That is incredible. As someone who just got into woodworking, this is inspiring. I would just have no idea how to approach something like this.

Gary, Great design!!! It really looks like a real little home. I have never seen a birdhouse of that kind…. Usually they are rather drab….. this has style and has a welcoming look to it.
That is nice timber, is it a hardwood? Lovely swirls in that wood that the Teak oil really brings out. Extra good job and fine project….Your Grandmother and the Birds will be very pleased…....What kind of birds do you have there?
