Cool. Is the body reinforced at all? How is the neck joined to the box?

Yes the body is reinforced. I glued a block along the end the neck is attached to. Then I cut a groove into the block and an tenon on the neck that fit the grove. I then epoxied the neck in the grove and put two screws from inside the box, into the neck. this is the first one I have done this with, I usually just glue a piece of wood inside the box and them screws into the neck. Thanks for the comment.

Love it, and you are right! “We all die. The goal isn’t to live forever; the goal is to create something that will.”

When a teenager in High School in the early 60’s, I made a 60’s Gibson Classic Electric Guitar Look Alike out of a piece of 2×12 and 2×4. It actually looks really good. Got the frets from an old broken guitar. Strings were nylon. It was a hang on the wall piece of art, and is still hanging on the wall in my son’s house and will probably end up on my grandson’s wall.

Think I may want to make a cigar box ukulele now, but thought like this happen very often.
