Pistachio Handle

Handle I turned from some reclaimed Pistachio sent to me by a woodworking buddy.

A friend of mine at work asked me to make a handle for the magnifying glass that she inherited from her grandfather. He was appently quite the tinkerer – woodwork, metalwork, stone. He taught her quite a bit and she has many fond memories of their time together. I’m thinking that I would have had a similar relationship with my grandfather had he lived longer…

This is the kind of personal stuff that I love to do!

Fantastic handle, fitting for a treasured piece. Gorgeous wood and finish. I’m sure she loves it. Great job!
