Raised Panel Murphy Bed

This is a Murphy Wall Bed that was made in November 2013. It has a raised panel face. The design is close to my Ross and Excalibur Murphy beds. I used the Door panels of the Excalibur with didn’t do any flutes or rosettes which is how I build the Ross.

The Murphy bed bookcases are 16” wide (not counting the crown) and have 2 drawers and a drink tray on the bottom and adjustable shelves on top. I used full extension rails on the drawers to get as much use out of the bookcases.

The wood is Red Oak with a Red Oak stain by Minwax.

wow…seeing the in progress photos makes me realize how big your projects are…in the final shots the beds look smaller for some reason…
