This piece of maple had a large bark inclusion so the form has a big whole on one side. My daughter thought it looked like a ferocious mouth. It about 4” tall, 4 3/4” wide, and about just over 1/8” thick. It’s finished with Waterlox followed by spray lacquer.

That’s cool, I love the grain pattern and colours.
Great use of a natural feature. Well done.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Very well done. I like the negative space in the piece. Makes it harder to turn and you must finish the inside but it is worth it
