This is the pie safe I started early 2013. Between 3 jobs, school, 2 teenagers, and life, it got put on hold until now. The walnut was logged by a friends father over 20 yrs ago, and the back, tin, and chicken wire all came from a pile behind his shop. He passed away in 2005, this was built for her mother. Mortice and tenon sides and doors, plywood was used for the shelf bodies and drawer boxes. No finish was applied, to keep with the simplistic, rustic feel.

I don’t think that any pies will stay safe in there!
Nice build! That is something to be proud of.

Beautiful pie safe, no finish needed – it’s fantastic as is.
