I made this from a plan from the Winfield Collection. This was a test run.it is not complete, the plan calls for a piece of rope for the tail. I made this out of scrap 1/2 inch ply. Always good to do prototypes.

This looks like it could be fun to build…the plys give an intersting texture to the side of the animal.

looks good. I made deer last christmas in the same manner. this christmas i am going to try a nativity scene with that approach. let us know what type of wood you use and how you handle all of that end grain.
