A woodworking mallet made of salvaged red oak. Handle connected with wedged tenon (I will post a detail picture of that soon).

I have never made one of these… yet. Yours looks very good! The wood looks very aged. Did you do something special to it or is that how it looked naturally?

Hey Brett!

(Sorry, I’ve neglected the site here for a bit). All I did was give it a few coats of tung oil, followed by a rubbing with beeswax…and then I’ve used it for a few months. Nothing crazy. I’m enjoying your blog, by the way!
