This was my grandson’s Christmas gift. My dad made my oldest daughter one when she was little and I wanted to make it a tradition. I copied the shape and dimensions of my daughter’s chair and added e few ideas of my own. Made from oak with walnut plugs. The other chair is my daughter’s.

Cool little rocking chair. It looks like its designed to last generations, like its predecessor. With a name like ‘Sawyer’, you may have an assistant in the shop very soon! Congratulations on the fine looking grandson, as well as the chair.

Thanks, Rick. I took it to work before he got it and I got 2 more to build now. My daughter’s chair is about 25 years old now.

Wow! It still looks great after 25 years and I’m sure the second one is a great family heirloom as well. Excellent job!
