Hanging tool cabinet

Started this a few months back. Just an empty hanging cabinet. I tried to configure cabinet based on tools that I use most often. After some time and rearranging tools, I’m liking the storage solution more every day. Most of these tools were stored in drawers, or worse, left all over the shop. The cabinet hangs between my two work/assembly areas. I’m teaching myself to get better organized. So far so good.

40” H
36” W
14” D

Made from 1/2” and 3/4” ply, with a little oak trim.

Thanks for looking.

Oh the things I appreciate… TOOLS and ORGANIZATION… You nailed both nicely. Great work! I wish I had the wall space to build a similar cabinet. I’m resorting to drawers so slowly but surely I can fit a bandsaw in my small shop (it “will” happen). So – to you – awesome work Nicky!

Two work assembly areas? Wish I knew what that is like (grinning). Nice cabinet and a very nice collection of tools.

Superbly done, but I have to ask, what is the other cabinet to the right for?

Thanks all for your kind words.

theoldfart – the other cabinet to the right stores mostly spray guns and air tools, aerosol paint cans, and the unrelated coffee cans filled with odds and ends.

I should have also mentioned that the dead space will be filled in time. I have a few Veritas planes, so maybe another plane till; not sure just yet. I received a PM asking where are the rulers and hammers. I keep a ruler hanging on the side of my bench, along with hammers and screwdrivers.

Great cabinet.
Bet you had fun laying it all out before the build to see what and how it would fit…......................

Nice, looks like you built in room to grow too.
One of these days I’ll make myself one of those.
