Made from beetle kill pine. Used a brad nailer to help hold the bark in place. Finished with Danish oil and sprayed 4 coats of polyurethane.

Good job.

With Beetle Kill, if the bark wants to come off there isn’t much you will do to stop it. If it is solid, then you can soak it with most finishes and it will hold fine.

Thats what I have been told. The bottom edge had a spot that was loosening up, the top appeared to be solid. If it comes off with wear, I will look refinishing it without bark.
