Here is a pair of mallets I made over the weekend. Fun project, basically followed the WWMM video. I was going to give one away to a friend as a Christmas present, but I really like them both. They may stay mine. We’ll see.

Maple/Cherry/walnut splines and cherry handle, the second is walnut/cherry with maple splines. I hope making these and keeping at least one doesn’t compromise my status as “hobbyist” and move me toward “obsessed.”

Look great, you should be bale to locate these on the work bench without any trouble

I too would keep them both…it’s good to have a mallet handy on both sides of the shop.
Your friend can wait for the next one.

We wont call you obsessed until you have made 12 of them … and can’t decide which ONE to give away! :-)

Nice mallets!
