Wedding gift to my wife

This is my first real project that I built for my wife as a gift to open on the wedding day. Our wedding was in June but I’ve been meaning to post some pictures. It’s made of cherry and Brazilian cherry and has a natural danish oil finish.

I learned a whole lot during this project and I’m getting ready to start a hope chest as a gift for a friends wedding this summer.

Here is a link to the pictures of the build process: http://imgur.com/a/9fP1q

It’s a nice attractive box and I’ll bet your wife was thrilled.

I think you learned a lot more than woodworking skills…

Well done – the woodworking and the sentiment! Awesome!
