These were Christmas presents for family and friends this year. The frames were made from either oak or maple and the center pieces were made from red padauk for contrast. I printed the verses on my printer, then used decoupage glue to attach them and protect them from moisture. Simple wax was used for the finish.

I should have known this, but buying dowels from a big box store presented problems because the diameter of individual pieces varied considerably. Next time I’ll make my own!

Those are beautiful! Love the design and that’s one of my favorite verses.

Dowels are one of my next goals. I’ve never used one and I have a project right now that calls for them. Kinda gun shy.

Nice work.

Love the idea, well done. Another addition to my already long projects list.
