Had fun with this one. After my grandmother retired from teaching she opened an art studio in an Appalachia Ohio log cabin that had been built in the1930’s. I have many childhood memories of playing in and around this cabin. Working from a photo, I drew the pattern and then cut and shaped the wood. I used walnut, aromatic cedar, aspen, canary wood, poplar, hickory and red oak. It contains over 250 pieces and is about 22”x33”. She will turn 90 this year and giving this to her has made for a most memorable Christmas for both of us. Thanks for looking.

It looks great, like the pretty design and wood colors. I’m sure she loves it. Great job!
