This is a Cherry box with maple miter keys and lined with cedar. The top is an interesting mix of Cherry inlaid with birdseye maple and Mukwa. The Mukwa wood was really nice to work with. I was given a small piece by my lumber guy and I wish I had more.

Thanks for taking a look. Any comments or questions are always welcome.

You really HAVE become a VERY good box builder. This box will look better and better as that cherry darkens with age. Beautiful job.

Thank you, thank you. Having taken so much time off from the shop, I have all kinds of ideas. Now it’s just finding the time to make them come true.

Joey, nice to see your work again. I especially like your corner treatment. The indented groove is really innovative. Beautiful top design here. Keep boxing and keep posting.

I really like the cove corners. Something different. The lid is nice. I like your incorporation of quirky woods/grains into your boxes.

Thanks everyone. If you ever get a chance pick up some Mukwa, it was a pleasure to work with.
