Hollow "Faux-rm"

This is close as I can get to a hollow form with my current tools so I am calling it a “Faux-rm”.

I found some 1”x4” flat bottomed test tubes at a surplus store so I created this bud vase with a hole to accept the tube.

Nice looking vase. Some refer to these as weed pots. I plan on turning a couple this weekend. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice use of what you have available. What type of wood is that?

I knew I forgot some stuff in my description.

Ambrosia Maple. I turned a rough shape and let it dry for a few months, then did the final turning last night.

8” high, 3.5” in diameter

Finished with Deft Satin.
