Hello everyone !
Here finally got something to contribute .
This last time was hectic at work, and other times I was not allowed to do any of carpentry . But, as it is difficult to remove completely the wood from mind, finally joining free time and I could arrange a laminated table to put the pizza.
I started with some woods of Guayovira and Anchico , both very hard wood , laminate and make the idea of subsequently cut into circle and thereby end the table. But after mulling over the idea I decided it would be much simpler cut an octagon , wich a circle , had to do it with a hand saw . Also note that if added two small parts could make a larger table and thus make the most of the laminate without wasting wood.
So is : light wood interior is anchico , dark with yellow lines is guayovira , and has two woods on the sides are cedar .
Also take to strengthen union with small cedar glued at the end of the grain , and reinforced with 3 mm dowels. Do not know if this was necessary , but also I like this .
Hope you like and probably is my last contribution of the year!

Very Happy 2014 to all ( and much sawdust ! !)

This is really nice and the cedar strips w/dowels is genius addition and adds to the character of the “pizza table.” GREAT job.

Nice project Gerardo! And the octagon should work great since you usually cut the pizza in eights, don’t you?

Que empieces bien el año!
