With spring just around the corner (with ~6 months to go as I type this! LOL!), I got to digging up some old photos of mine. I had made these for a buddy of mine who didn’t have a concrete sidewalk to get from his garage to his house. In all, I made 12 of these “Lilly pads” for him. They measured approximately 23” by 23”, and are made from treated scraps of 5/4 decking material. Sometimes it pays to pay attention when neighbors renovate, as these pads were once part of a shoddy repair to a now absent deck. I simply screwed these together with drywall screws. My buddy says he still uses them, and his grandkids love to hop over them to get to his backyard swimming pool.
