Have you played “Cards Against Humanity”. Our son, Nathan, introduced us to this game not too long ago – can be pretty racy and even vulgar to the uninitiated, but also a lot of laughs if you have an open mind. Anyway, he had the cardboard boxes for the cards that they came in – nothing else. So, for Christmas, I decided to try and make a box for those cards (he has over 500 of them). I chose mahogany for the wood, red mahogany stain for the top and the bottom, and cabernet stain for the body of the box. I even got up enough gumption to try making dovetail joints for the very first time ever. After many fits, starts, and ruined pieces, I was finally able to come up with something (result in photos) that I was ok with. Nathan says he’s happy with the box, and that’s all that really matters. But he did try to stuff his cardboard boxes inside the body of this box (didn’t fit so he’s stuck with just putting his cards in it).
Thanks for looking.
