This batch also done after Christmas, the ones I gave this week were well recieved and the new owners love them. Giving gifts like this is a wonderful way to share the hobby. I tell people they can leave it by their front door and give it a spin for a bit of luck for the day. People usually ask how long it spins and I tell them to see which takes longer, the top spinning or their ability to hold their breadth. If the test that theory , the minute or two it takes for the tops to stop spinning seems like a really long time.

These are so cool, Bob! I’ll bet the colored plywood really makes some interesting visual patterns when they spin!

Very nice Bob.
I need to try to make some of these. You make it all look so easy.

Nice work. I really like tops. I made them for a while in 2005 and 6 and sold a bunch of them. I like you always try to get them to spin forever. The best I have done is about 2 minutes with a finger spin and did finally get one to go a little over 4 minutes with a string pull. Since seeing yours I think I will try some more. Thanks for sharing.
