This cherry box is about 8 by 10 inches and 4 high. It has a lap joint walnut divider for separating the tea packets. The engraving was done with a laser and the symbol is “double happiness” a tradition for wedding gifts and wishing for marital longevity.

Great looking tea box! I like your use of splines in the joinery—a nice change of pace from the usual. I also like the hinges you used—functional, yet unobtrusive.

Gotta agree with Dean. I really like how the splines show through th top. You usually only see the horizontal splines as a functional/decorative touch. Nice job, thanks for posting.
