Long time listener, first time caller to this site. This is a jewelry box I made for my wife as a Christmas present. Yep I had a hell of a time inlaying the B(her name is Becky). I think I will get a small mirror to cover the back glue marks. The corners are box jointed with a PC 2216 jig and then rounded over. I used Poplar, Walnut and Aspen.

First off welcome and great first post… Happy wife = happy wife! LOL or in our case more woodworking tools…. Like the top as with the different levels and inlay.

I like the way the two levels came out now. But they were kind of mandated because I couldn’t get the top to open cleanly with the way I had the curves cut in. Oh well, live and learn.

Looks great. I think a jewelry box is required for every wife that allows the purchase of tools. I personally don’t even want to think about how much I spend. I love the ‘B’ as well. It adds a lot to the overall appearance.
