Cutting board for the wife

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have admired this 3D effect since I found this site a few years ago. This is the first cutting board of this type I’ve attempted, it was going to be all tumbling block but I was getting gaps at glue up so I ended up putting the edge grain maple and cherry/walnut borders on instead. The extra “pucks” turned into coasters so it wasn’t a total loss. It was a challenge but my wife loved it and it was fun. I even had help from my youngest daughter to sand the diamonds before glue up. The borders all have a full spline.

Thanks
Chris

Great board, I like the frame that you put around it. Looks like you have a great shop helper also….
