Well, I had seen these made and just had to try one for a Christmas gift. I think it turned out ok for the first try but because I only have one eye that works good, the holes are not aligned very good. After my surgery (whenever that may be) I will be able to do much better work. I really need a planer though, was tough to get the boards to be level enough for a tight fit when closed. All in all, my brother was quite impressed with it. Oh, and I need to know how to make the hole for the deck of cards better with the router. It was my first time trying this and well, it isn’t perfect but it works.

Kandy,

Looks good to me.

Good Luck with your surgery.

Keep up the good work.

Do they spin on one another or are they just pivoted in that second picture?
