Whittled Whittlings: Santa and Snowman Ornamental Ornaments

I made these over the past couple of weeks for Christmas presents. All are basswood carved with a knife and small v tool. I really enjoyed making the snowman.

Can’t wait for my next basswood shipment to come in so I can work on something else.

These are great, my wife loves to collect Santa Carvings. Basswood is the best carving wood I have found. Nice job!

Nice work madman.
Question is are you going to carve something else? Or get started on Santa clauses for next year?
Anything as long as it isn’t drummer boys.

How bout making one of those walking sticks with a dragon on top?

The dragon walking stick sounds like my next project William. Guess I’ll have to head to your place and start working on those drummer boy cutouts. : )

Nice work on these! I like the snowman too. I just started whittling a few snowmen out of birch branches that I harvested; they are a fun project. I posted a picture of one of them a few days ago. Thanks for posting!
