My first woodworking bench. I like to think of this as a woodworking diploma of some sort because now all the woodworking projects can begin. I only included a few of the process photos because I figured that everyone on this site can spot different joinery and understand how they can be achieved. For those that can’t basically i just whacked the snot out them with chisels.

I hope everyone to keeps those saws moving.

Very beautiful work. Nicely done. Will you be adding a tail vise?

Wow, great bench Chris! Nice to see your saw horses again. I’m sure they helped with your build. I finally did finish my saw horses and have since ganged them together to serve as a base for my workbench. I’ll post it up as soon as I finish the top.

Great job, but won’t you get cold working out in the snow? I need to build one of these, I keep putting it off.

Thanks everyone. I did have a tail vice included in the original design, but the products i found were really expensive. What does lumberjocks think about the value vs cost on tail vices? Perhaps im looking in the wrong location?

You did a fine job on that bench and it will be a nice addition to your shop.

In case your wondering I’m drinking Ole Smoky apple cider moonshine. Made from distilled corn. I took this photo around Christmas so I was being a little festive.
