I happened to see a small bench with a shelf b beneath it, and started wondering how small semi drawers would work. Idea is to make bench that would work by back door for talking of and putting on boots with a space to store mittens, gloves, or hats.

the 2 bay was the second, and I used 5/4 pine to give a little more meat to the top and allow for some deeper cut molding.

The fourth picture is of a slight change in design from the second. Cut the top molding a bit deeper and inset the bottom stringer about 1/2” to lighten up the look without any loss in strength. I also lowered the height of the drawer trays to lighten and give better air flow. I think I like this best as it adds a bit of elegance.

The finish is very nice. I can never get pine to look that even.

They look great. Like the design, very functional. They make additional storage. Great job!
