Beautiful Job!
You are right to be proud of his accomplishments and hard work and for sure he will be just as proud of you and this chest.

Great work! Is the eagle marquetry? Is it glued onto the lid or inlaid?

The eagle is intarsia and partially inlaid. I used zebra, maple, canary, and ebony in it. The box exterior is cherry. The lid is tiger maple with cherry bread board ends. All peg work is ebony. I heavily contoured all the eagle feathers so it seems more 3d and left it stand proud of the lid about 3/8 “

Excellent job. Congratulations to your son as well. As a Scouter for years, I know how much work that is.

Awesome! As an Eagle Scout, I know the work he put into it, and by the amount of work you put into his chest, your pride shows. Congrats to both of you.
