Cherry Mirrors

I built two similar cherry mirrors over the fall (2013). One matched the bathroom vanity, my last project, and one matched my daughters bureaus, also in projects. The closeup of the bathroom mirror, approx 19” x 28”, shows the tiger maple accent. It’s actually less dramatic than I thought it would be. The bedroom mirror is much bigger, approx 26” x 34”, and the detail shows curved shelf. In both mirrors the top and bottom rails incorporate cherry veneer that I previously used on my daughters bureaus and headboard. I think I have a lifetime supply. I made the side rails similar to the legs of the vanity and bureaus. Overall the mortise and tenon construction worked well, but I find the designs somewhat boring, particularly in the case of the bathroom mirror. Critiques appreciated. Merry Christmas all.

Nice frame. I like the color of the cherry.

Well done!! I like your designs, they are simple, clean lines but yet they show uniqueness in what you have done in your joinery.
