This is a Christmas gift for my sister. She’s been wanting an herb garden, but lives in a second floor apartment. This holds three 30” window box trays. The middle of the bottoms have a slot for drainage to keep it off the wood, and simply drain into the box beneath it. The shape is pretty basic, so I attached each rail with a large dovetail, and added walnut pegs for a little bit of visual contrast. Main body is made with Beech. Finish is currently just Danish oil. I just finished this yesterday, so it’ll have to cure a bit before applying a harder finish. Will Lacquer work, or should I go with a poly or spar varnish?
Thanks for looking, and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
PS – Sorry for the picture quality – Didn’t even notice till I posted it, how bad they were. Oh well…
