I think I’ll tell the wife I spent the weekend wrapping her present.
Maple and walnut ribbon box. Ripped, planed, laminated, scroll sawn, broken (twice), assembled, sanded, and finished with conversion varnish. 4”x4”x4” ribbon box based on a free plan by some scroll saw guy. I’ll give credit when I find his name again.

Tedious indeed. One thing I’ve found that helps are those little sanding strips you can use on a scroll saw for sanding the inside of the loops.

Very well done. Ribbon boxes are so neat to look at from every angle. Amazing fit and finish.
