Money Ornament

At Christmas, we sometimes give out money cards. I thought about this for a couple of days and decided to make a hollowed out ornament and put a twist top on it. This is what I came up with. It was a rush job since I have to start helping out for the family get together but I wanted to get it done for this Christmas. I made the hole in it big enough to hold a few bucks. I also decided to make it a stand up ornament instead of a hanging one, but now I regret that. Anyway I got it done. What do you think? Approx 7’’ tall, 2’’ wide, Padauk, Purple Heart, and Ash. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Nice idea for the holidays—I remember when the children were still home, we gave them a tin can with a lump of coal in it, but with a large denomination bill tucked away under the coal. Merry Christmas.

Thanks John, maybe we should make a lump of coal and give it away.

Thanks bambi, Merry Christmas to you.

Great little project Dave. You could have thought of this a month ago, so I could have had time to copy it :-). That is a great idea for next Christmas.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!

Bill, Gary, thanks. Sorry, just thought of the idea and had to get one more in before Santa closed the shop. It seems to be a better thought than the card.

Jay, Jim, thanks for looking.

Joe, the money grows in trees, not on them. ha ha

Thanks Dave. Maybe you can use this as your first and send it to me full of money. LOL

Whitebeast, sorry they are all sold out for the year.

Thanks Lee, had to give you some friendly competition with your array of ornaments.
