I made a couple of growler totes for my brother and a friend for Christmas. They’re red oak and poplar. They are pinned with 1/4 poplar dowels and glued with tightbond 3. I finished them with boiled linseed oil and paste wax. They have gone through a couple of field trials and seem to work pretty well.

This is pretty bad drawing that I’ve scanned. It shows some dimensions, in case anyone wants to copy it. If you print it out full size, you should be able to trace it.
