Our daughter and son in law use their garage as a hangout. They needed a coffee table or more like a huge foot stool so they can put their feet up and relax while they chat. It’s 37” X 37” X 14” H… about the height of a foot stool.

I made them this “framing lumber” coffee table. Darn thing came out ok for scrap pine and some 2” X 6” spruce. I gave it 3 coats of water base poly,

Thanks for taking the time to look!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your families!

I say they can not only put their feet on it, they could dance on it, sit on it, eat on it, _ on it, etc. fill in the blank ;-). You do great work my friend. Scrap isn’t scrap when you get your hands on it. Merry Christmas to you and yours my friend.

Love the lines and the simplicity! It has a great mid-20th-century-modern look. I’m a big fan of what the Heywood-Wakefield furniture company produced during that era.

Is my “baby boomer” showing? :)

Tony, that is really neat, and I reckon it will suit the purpose perfectly.
Well done friend.
Merry Christmas to you and Carol.

Thanks Jim,
I just wanted something simple and this worked out well. I even got to use up some old framing lumber up that wasn’t good for much else!

Thanks Drew,
Not bad for framing lumber! LOL!!!

Thanks Mike,
I bet my family will say “We can’t put our feet on that, it’s too nice” !

Thanks Lee,
Remember those cherry stools I made for my daughter. She won’t let anyone sit on them with shoes on. So dancing on this table may get someone a back eye. :( I’m just joking here but I bet she will tell them to take their shoes off! LOL!!!

Thanks Steve,
I have such a hard time throwing any wood away including scraps. And when I find a use for it, it feels good!

Thanks John,
I did get that mid 20th century thought also when I was taking those photos of it. It’ the shape of the leg’s!

Thanks Bob,
It’s simple and strong and will support many feet!

Thanks Hoss!

Merry Christmas to one and all !

Thanks Kiefer!
Come to think of it I do spend a lot of time in my garage too! But I’m always working on something!
I’ll be hanging out at this coffee table soon after I deliver it to my daughters house Tuesday and I won’t be working that day or the next! Merry Christmas Kiefer!
