Entertainment Hutch

This is a hutch that I built for a client here in town. He had ordered himself a new TV, one of them flat screen jobbys. The tV measured 47 5/8” wide and the wall where he wanted to put it measured 48” from corner to door trim, not much room for cabinet nor the large crown and base skirt she wanted. This is what I came up with. They seemed to have been pleased with the outcome.

Its built of White oak, with 1/4” oak plywood for the back and the drawer bottoms. I dont remember the name of the stain, (He furnished it), with 4 coats of satin lacquer.

If the customer is happy then you are happy. The hutch looks great.

is that 4 casters across the front? or is the hutch sitting on a pair of dollies? (inquiring minds want to know)

Thanks for the wonderful comments yall .

fredf, the hutch is setting on dollies. makes it easier to move around, I`v acquired some extra stuff in the shop so I have to move things around fairly often. Dont hardly have enough room to cus a cat without getting hair in my mouth.

Hi Griff;

You did a great job, both in working with the space restrictions, and the workmanship

Very nice indeed!

I like the satin finish. I also like the balance the 4 doors give the top.

This is a beautiful piece that will showcase, and fuction well without distracting from the TV while in use.
