My brother in law sent me a photo of these a week or two ago. He saw them somewhere and said his wife (my wife’s sister) really liked them. I couldn’t tell if it was a hint for a Christmas idea or not, but I figured what the heck? Why not?

The best thing about these little guys is that it only takes about a 16” piece of left-over 1×12 to make four coasters and the clamping jig.

It took me about 3 hours off and on to make these while working on other Christmas presents. The tough part was the glue up. Had to do it in 2 stages.

This would be a good idea for a craft fair. I could see these things getting snatched up. I saw a thread a few days ago about good small things to sell at a fair, and I think these would work.

They can also be used to carry very small amounts of freight. Hehe

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for a great idea.
I just made 6 of ‘em for my daughter and her future husband; they have kitchen furniture made from re-purposed pallets, so this is a perfect stocking stuffer.

Glad you guys like them!

I did not make them out of actual pallet wood. I just used some left over pine 1×12s.
