This was an experiment really. I’ve been teaching myself to turn over the last year or so. Most of what I’ve done so far are pens, bottle stoppers, and a couple small bowls. The top, tree, and finial are walnut. The globe is cherry. If I have time I’m going to try and make a few more of these. I figured the grandparents might like them. Since they have a tough time decorating and haven’t been able to put up trees for the last few years I figure one of these with a stand might be just enough to make it feel a little more like Christmas.

That’s turned out really well.
