Floating Shelf

These are a collection of four zebrawood boxes hung on a hidden bracket system which gives them the appearance of floating. I was a bit nervous hanging them because the delicate spacing couldn’t be truly tested in my shop. I created a template with mounting holes for the 2×4 brackets and hoped for the best when I installed them at the client’s home. Thankfully, the install went perfectly. The predrilled template backing was a big help.

I really like the concept Beth. The idea of boxes as shelves, sort of.
It certainly looks like you nailed the tricky spacing. I would never have doubted that you would.

Really nice. I can see where the bracketry would be extremely frustrating, but you hit it spot on.

Very nicely done. The painting fits perfectly on top… not just width, but also the proportions and tones.
