I just couldn’t help myself and if I copied somebody elses pattern, my apologies.
I had some oak and walnut that was in the way, so instead of tossing it I glued it. They are just under 4” square so as to keep waste to a minimum while making the carriers.
I used a forstner bit to open the front and then bandsaw to remove the excess. I did finish the boxes prior to assembly and then a quick sanding with 400 grit and several more coats of finish.

Oak and Walnut go great together and I like carriers too. Funny how ” in the way” cut offs become a proud center piece. Well done.

Very nice recycling project! Coasters from cutoffs hasn’t even crossed my mind. Tunnel vision I guess. Great thinking and a great project!!!
