The wife says last Thursday “Can you make a box in time for Christmas”. I said “sure I’ll get er done.”
As you can see from my earlier posts this is not my first box like this. However it is my first box in my partially assembled shop. I moved into this home in April 2012 and had just completed upgrading the electrical service.
I got er done tonight and it shipping in the morning.
Construction details: 3/8th BBPlywood as a substrate. Inside and outside/outside is Walnut veneer. Trim wood is Bloodwood veneer. Central veneer is Karilian birch burl veneer from my private stash. Handle is Coconut wood. Finish is Satin Lacquer. Craft-Inc Kerf hinge with offset. Titebond II as the adhesive.

Looks great. Always good to see more folks making veneered boxes. Your other posted boxes are nice as well. Would be fun to see what you would do if you didn’t always have to “hurry”. LOL Keep makin’ em.
