Plywood and 100 year old plus red gum which buffed up pretty rough but adds some character.
Tasmania is missing and state boundaries altered but necessary to get draws reasonable size.

Hey, Bob, that is really cool. I’m really happy that you had to reduce the size of N.S.W.

Love the idea.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

G’day Bob. Very nice!!! The Colour combination is very appealing as it is the colour of my State of Queensland. But quite seriously, it is a good matching of colours!!!
By Gee! 100 year old red gum, what a treasure!! I really wouldn’t stress too much about state boundaries being altered, and I don’t know how you could add Tasmania as it is our Island state and mainland Australia is also an Island so it would take a bit of thought. You nailed the shape of Australia very well and I love the visible Plywood that governs the thickness of the Band Saw Box, gives it a sense of movement somehow, sort of like looking at the wheels on a tractor and helps define the rugged nature of The Australian Continent.
The drawers look good too. I would say that a lot of thought and hard work has gone into the making of this box….......Good one Bob!!!!!!!!!

Very nice looking BS box. I like the way the drawers came out. Just how did you line up the front of the drawers?

Bob, I am in awe with your work. I don’t use a lathe, but am buying a Ring Master machine to make bowls faster than on the scroll saw…I sure wish you made a blog showing just how you do the glue up of the bowls you have made with wood and plastic together.

So how did your sale go? Did the boxes go over good?
