So I’ve been a member here for several months, but have just been lurking until this point. I figured I’d post some pictures of some older projects.
The first is my old work/reloading bench. It was a beat up office desk I picked up off of craigslist for cheap. I replaced the top with two layers of ply and added a shelf/hutch. Minwax golden oak stain and poly finish.
The second is the revolver grips I made to replace the stock plastic ones. The wood is post oak harvested from the trees cleared from a construction site I worked on. The finish is tung oil.
The third is a utilitarian toiletry shelf made out of plywood. It was the first item commissioned by my then girlfriend that was cut out using the table saw she had just given me for my birthday. The finish is Minwax golden oak and poly.
The fourth is my first box, made from red oak. It was a christmas present to my then girlfriend/delivery vehicle for her engagement ring. The finish was Minwax poly.
The fifth is grips for my now wife’s 238 made to replace the cheap plastic ones that came stock. They are made from mesquite harvested from my grandfather’s land in Smiley. The finish is tung oil.
Wish I had more/better pictures. Hope yall enjoy looking. I most certainly have enjoyed looking and learning from your projects.
