Vase Pyrograpy

It started out as a fallen gum tree branch and then for a long time was a rather plain little vase. After a couple of years and a few small cracks appearing on the rim I was overcome with an urge to decorate and inspired by the henna hand and foot dye patterns that Indian and other ethnic cultures use I set to work. The pattern uses a homemade U shaped wire nib on my poker tool.

I’ve got to try pyrography. That looks like fun. That is a really really nice piece of work. Fine job !

Very nice David. There are lots of examples of this ‘branding’ type of burning work in our museums here in Norway.
