Approximately 15”x11”x2”, this is one of my first all wood projects I’ve taken on and will be a gift for my parents this Christmas.

Hard Maple, Walnut, and Padauk, for the woods and glued up with Titebond III. Lines are a little askew but heck so is just about everything I make : ) .

Finished with Beeswax and mineral oil.

Not bad for your first try. In fact very nice.

Really love the padouk, it finishes up to near perfection!

Very nice! I’m in the process of making six end grain cutting boards out of maple, walnut and cherry for Christmas gifts for my family. This will be my first cutting boards too. I really like the accent of the padauk wood in yours. Did you get your padauk online or locally?

I got the padauk from Bellforestproducts.com. I do like the way it turned out but the oil in that wood sure made a big mess of my work area.

I haven’t used that wood yet, but I really like the color of it. I’ll keep that in mind. I’m familiar with Bell Forest. Thanks!

I will be lucky if my 10th board will look good as your 1st!

Attractive looking board, like the colors and the patterns. It’s a great gift to family and friends. Great job!
