Helping my dad stack some firewood one day I just could not let him burn this log. Candle holders evolved. I see I have some work to do on making two items identical but for my first try at two at a time I am quite pleased. Perhaps only one should have been made from this log as it was quite short, but I wanted a matching pair. Dad was really impressed with what came out of his firewood.

Nice work. The spalting is very eye-catching.

They’re beautiful and the wood is a surprise, like those cool grains and colors. Well done!
