Wonderful Bob. Great looking, like an army of fighter tops. Where did you get the brass points? And how good are you at getting them to spin?

Hi mike,

The buttons, string, rubber O-rings and brass tips are available at Spintastics.com, down in Texas. These are fast and easy to make. Finish is EEE polish and turners finish from Mylands.

It takes a few times to get the hang of throwing them, there are lots of videos on youtube on how to do it.

At this point , I'm getting pretty good at throwing them. Give them a try. Bob

I love what you did with the tops. Brings back memories. Only they didn't look that good 50 years ago. Well done.

Nice top designs, Bob. Did you dye the wood yourself, or buy it dyed?

Don and others. You can buy this type of wood at woodcraft under the name Sprectrawood. Also sold at the woodworking shows by Ron Brown.

Great looking tops. I've tried making several for my classroom, but none were stable spinners. Any advice would be appreciated.
