My youngest grandson wanted a Chinese checkerboard for Christmas. He loves to play on Grandma’s that I made last year. So here is Mason’s checkerboard. Made from Kentucky Coffeetree wood, cut from our front yard. I planted this tree in 1978. Some wind and ice damage has taken limbs and the beans were a real pain to clean up. So I now have 130 bd/ft of lumber that I think is really pretty.
